Back to Who We are

Biography of Namita Pant

I was born and brought up in India. I moved to Hong Kong in the year 2000 and after having worked with a leading investment bank and a research firm in Hong Kong for a couple of years and gaining corporate experience, I decided to switch gears. I discovered the passion for teaching within me and went on to do my Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Bangkok. I have lived in four countries in Asia and have had the unique experience of interacting with different international schools in Hong Kong, Beijing, Thailand and India. During my stay I learned to empathize with people from different cultures and understand their perspective. What drew me to this field is my discovery of how education can be made fun and easy through child centered teaching methodologies.

I returned to Hong Kong four years ago after having worked in a leading IB school in (Gurgaon) India. My goal is to continue to develop as a professional in the field of education and offer the children the best possible learning experiences that will help them develop not only for kindergarten but also for life. I believe that today’s child has to be a lifelong learner. He or she must be rooted in bedrock of ethics and should be able to listen and understand diverse viewpoints.

During my free time I love to travel, cook, bake and learn about spiritual healing techniques. I also enjoy spending time with my family. I live with my husband and am a mother of two beautiful children - 15 year old daughter and a 11 year old son who were both born in Hong Kong/China. I always believe that as we watch our children grow and develop we are also growing and developing its just that we keep redefining our role as a nurturer.

I am very excited about being part of the FJA family and feel I am fortunate to be working with such a talented pool of interested, engaged and dedicated parents and faculty.
